Knowing which contracted services must be maintained or can be suspended during a temporary shutdown period can prove difficult. External contractors may be unavailable to fulfil regular maintenance contracts due to lockdown restrictions or have limited to access to premises which are closed as a result of government measures. Either way, efforts to undertake planned servicing are likely to be frustrated.
We have produced a checklist detailing expected contractor servicing and inspection frequencies and giving information as to whether there is flexibility in the inspection / service intervals in respect of compliance. One thing we are certain of is that there will be a rush to secure these services once restrictions are lifted so use the checklist to record your progress in procuring personnel.
